What rights do you have regarding your data?

You always have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its processing, free of charge. You also have the right to request that it be corrected, its processing restricted, or that it be deleted. Where processing is based on our legitimate interest, you also have the right to object to that processing at any time (see Section 2, "Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR"). You can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions about data protection. You may also file a complaint with the competent regulatory authority.

As permitted by law, you have the right to be provided at any time with information, free of charge, about your stored personal data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose for which it has been processed, as well as a right to have this data corrected, its processing restricted, or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the address given in our legal notice if you have further questions on this topic.

We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published in the context of website legal notice requirements with regard to sending promotional and informational materials not expressly requested. The website operator reserves the right to take specific legal action if unsolicited advertising material, such as email spam, is received.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Our website uses technically necessary cookies required for the basic functioning of the site, such as the shopping cart / order function. These are used without separate consent under Sec. 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses.

In addition, we use a preference cookie (joomla_remember_me_*, provider: Heinrich Leifeld GmbH, expiry: 60 days) that enables the "stay logged in" function. This cookie is not technically essential and is only set with your consent under Sec. 25(1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie settings.

In addition, Joomla, the content management system used for this website, automatically sets a session cookie (technical name is a randomly generated string) to maintain your browsing session, as well as a cookie storing your selected language preference (language). Both cookies are required for the technical functionality of the website or for displaying it in your chosen language, and are set without separate consent under Sec. 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie, or to reject cookies automatically. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data to safeguard legitimate interests (ensuring the stable and secure operation of our website). Server log files are automatically deleted after 8 weeks, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.

Registration on this website

You can register on our website to access additional functions, for example within our order system. The data entered for this purpose is only used for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full; otherwise, we will reject the registration.

We will use the email address specified during registration to inform you of important changes, such as to the scope of our offering or technically necessary changes.

The data entered during registration is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or, where registration serves the preparation or performance of a contract, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect via an informal email to us. The lawfulness of data processing carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected.

Data collected during registration is stored for as long as you remain registered on our website and is deleted thereafter. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process, and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary to establish, or modify legal relationships with us (master data). This is done based on Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract. We collect, process and use your personal data when accessing our website (usage data) only to the extent required to enable you to access our service or to bill you for the same.

Collected customer data shall be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transmitted when entering into a contract with online shops, retailers, and mail order

We transmit personally identifiable data to third parties only to the extent required to fulfill the terms of your contract, for example, to companies entrusted to deliver goods to your location or banks entrusted to process your payments. Your data will not be transmitted for any other purpose unless you have given your express permission to do so. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes without your express consent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfil a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract.

4. Plugins and Tools

OXOMI (Product Catalogue)

Our website uses the OXOMI service provided by scireum GmbH, Eisenbahnstr. 24, 73630 Remshalden, Germany, to embed product information, product images, and documentation in an interactive catalogue.

When you visit relevant pages, a connection is established to scireum GmbH's servers (server location: Germany). Your IP address and possibly other technical data (e.g. user agent) are transmitted in the process. This processing serves solely to provide the catalogue and product content, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in an up-to-date and functional product presentation. Without this connection, the product catalogues on our website could not be displayed.

Further information on data protection at OXOMI is available at: https://www.scireum.de/scireum/datenschutz.

Fonts (Web Fonts)

This website uses web fonts for a uniform display of typefaces, which are hosted locally on our own server. No connection to third-party servers (e.g. Google) is established, and no personal data is transmitted to third parties in this process.
